(1) Subject to other provisions contained in this Act, organs may be removed from the body of a dead person or organs so removed may be transplanted into the body of another person only in the following cases:-
(a) the person from whose body the organ is to be removed has been declared brain dead by the concerned physician,
(b) a person desiring to donate his organs after death for the purpose of section 14 has given his knowing and voluntary consent in writing,
(c) In the absence of permission according to clause (b), a member of the deceased's family has given written permission to donate the body parts of the deceased.
(2) According to clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (1), other procedures related to granting approval shall be as prescribed.
